25 grams of gelatin per day reduces benign prostate problems
The day before yesterday we wrote about a forgotten and curious study from the last century, in which gelatin seems to reduce fatigue during physical activity. Today we found another curious publication from the distant past. Also about gelatin. In 1973, researchers at the University of Singapore accidentally discovered that gelatin may reduce benign prostate symptoms.
Gelatin & prostate
When the supplementation stopped, the symptoms returned. However, after 5 months of taking 25 grams daily, the men also experienced the same positive effects at a lower dose.
The researchers also had data on men who consumed extra protein from meat on a daily basis. Meat protein did not reduce prostate symptoms.
Heard nothing more
Or researchers have looked into it, but have not found anything that makes scientific journals excited and subsequently even more voluminous. That is of course also possible.
