Move aside, TA-65! Make way for 08AGTLF!
Isn't writing for Ergo-Log a lot of fun? No other medium allows you to put such a weird headline above your article. Only Ergo-Log readers know that TA-65 is an incredibly expensive longevity supplement that is supposed to increase telomerase activity, thus extending life. What 08AGTLF exactly is, the readers may not yet know. But they are curious about it.
What is 08AGTLF?
Telomerase is the enzyme that lengthens telomeres in DNA. In this way, telomerase could slow down aging.
Telomeres are located at the ends of the chromosomes. During the aging process, those telomeres shorten. The faster the telomeres shorten, the faster the biological aging process. And according to a number of anti-aging researchers, the opposite may be also true. Cells rejuvenate as telomeres lengthen again.
Results
One longeceutical that did have an impressive effect on telomerase was an extract of Centella asiatica, also known as Gotu Kola, which the Greeks call 08AGTLF.

Again: what is 08AGTLF?
Conclusion
"08AGTLF, containing Centella asiatica extract, seems to be such a natural compound with a strong effect on telomerase activity that remains to be validated with future research based on independent randomized controlled studies investigating the underlying mechanisms. Importantly, future intervention studies on humans are warranted to examine its effect on telomere length, aging and human health."
