Black Seed Oil decreases covid recovery time

In mild SARS-CoV2 infection, Black Seed Oil supplementation shortens the recovery process by a few days. This is evident from a trial that researchers from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia have published in Complementary Therapies in Medicine.

Study
The researchers divided 183 people with a mild form of covid into 2 groups. The subjects took 2 capsules daily for 10 days, each containing 500 milligrams of Black Seed Oil. In total, the subjects took 1 gram of Black Seed Oil per day. The main components of Black Seed Oil are linoleic acid and thymoquinone. The researchers used Marnys Cuminmar, a product of Marnys. [marnys.com] Marnys provided the supplements used, but did not sponsor the study.

The researchers monitored the subjects for 14 days. They recorded how quickly the subjects recovered from their infection.

Results
Of the subjects who took Black Seed Oil capsules, 62 percent recovered during the study. In the control group this was 36 percent.

Overall, supplementation shortened the duration of the illness by 1.6 days.

When the researchers looked at the individual symptoms, they saw that supplementation with Black Seed Oil especially accelerated the return of the smell and the disappearance of the runny nose.
